Sheena began her career at First Memorial Funeral Services - Harmony Chapel in 2007 as an administrator. Realizing that her desire to help others could be fulfilled through funeral service, she enrolled in the Canadian College of Funeral Service and was subsequently licensed as a funeral director and embalmer in 2008. Sheena has spent the majority of her time helping families plan meaningful services for their loved ones. In 2016 she took on the role of funeral home manager and has enjoyed working with the staff to provide excellent and meaningful service to the families she is privileged to serve. Sheena likes to spend her spare time with family and loves to camp and quad in the beautiful mountains of Alberta and British Columbia.

Ruth C Urlacher
Ruth Urlacher first joined our funeral home as an apprentice funeral director and embalmer, gaining her license in 2018. Prior to funeral service, she received a master’s degree in archaeology from the University of Alberta. During her studies, Ruth taught skeletal anatomy labs for undergraduate anthropology students and worked on archaeological excavations in northern Japan. These experiences led her to pursue a career in funeral service, a path that seemed to be a natural combination of her academic interests and desire to help others.
Ruth finds great fulfillment in guiding families during a difficult time and enjoys creating unique, personalized services for their loved ones. Outside of work, she is an avid fiction reader and writer, hikes, and practices and competes in Shitō-ryū karate.
