A native and lifetime Indiana resident, Michael graduated from Vincennes University in 1981. He is a licensed Indiana funeral director and embalmer serving with D.O. McComb and Sons since 1983. Michael served as the director of embalming for 18 years and the manager and property project manager for over 10 years before taking his current position as the campus manager at the Lakeside Park location in June 2016.
Gary “Buzz” Oursler has served at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home since 1999. He received his associate degree from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1975 and received his Indiana funeral director and embalmer license in May 1980.
Gary served in the U.S. Navy as an operations specialist onboard the USS Independence CV62. He also served as coroner for Jennings County, Indiana, and is a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Father Solanus Casey Council # 11276. Gary and his family reside in Ft. Wayne.
Elaine Marie Auer
Elaine Auer graduated from East Noble High School in 2012 and Mid-America College of Funeral Service in 2014. She began her funeral service career in Louisville, Kentucky, and then moved home to work in the Fort Wayne area in early 2017. Elaine has a passion for helping others and is proud to serve her community.
She and her husband have 1 son. They are members of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.
Riley Parkin Confer
A lifetime resident of the areas of Ossian and southern Fort Wayne, Indiana, Riley Parker Confer remains passionate about bringing comfort and care to families after more than a decade of service. Riley graduated from Vincennes University with a degree in funeral science and education, earning a 2nd degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Over the years, Riley has worked with and served many clients he considers family. He looks forward to serving families in the Fort Wayne and surrounding communities for years to come.
Riley, his wife and their children live in Ossian and are involved in a number of community activities and events.
Allison M McClane
Allison has been employed with D.O. McComb and Sons since October 2013 and licensed since 2014. She attended Creighton University and Saint Louis University before graduating from St. Louis Community College with a mortuary science degree. Allison plays with the Fort Wayne Sport and Social Club and is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. Her and her husband have two pets: Jay, a cat, and Rex, a dog. Allison is also an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues fan.
