Like many historic establishments in the Lexington of Texas, Buffington Funeral Home enjoys a special connection to the town’s history.

Mr. Buffington opened Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales in 1969. Byron Dixon purchased Buffington Funeral Home in 1975 and moved the funeral home to its current location: the Ponton-Fly Mansion, which was built in 1885.

Today, we continue to uphold the traditions set forth by our founder while adapting to the needs the Gonzalez community by creating custom memorial tributes that reflect the personality of the loved one being honored.
