Our large, handicap-accessible funeral home has a spacious lounge with a television for children and tables for food and snacks. We have a large screen for multimedia tribute videos and the ability to project your presentation on additional monitors throughout the building for friends and family to see. We also offer the option to record the funeral service in video and audio format. For added convenience, we can provide luxury transportation for the immediate family.

History

Located in Greenville, Ohio, Zechar Bailey Funeral Home helps families receive peace through funeral and memorial services. We consider it an honor to have served the community for more than 75 years.

Rooted in service

Byron and Myron Zechar founded Zechar Funeral Home in 1941. In 1960, they purchased McKnight and Baker Funeral Home. Byron’s 2 sons, Kent and Gary, then bought the funeral home from their father and uncle in 1979.

This purchase allowed the funeral home to grow and better meet the community's needs. In 1979, Joe Bailey became owner and operator of the funeral home in Versailles. In 1985, Kent, Gary and Joe merged the 2 funeral homes to become Zechar Bailey Funeral Homes.

In the mid-1990s, they purchased a 3rd location, Miller Funeral Home, making them the leading funeral home provider in Darke County, Ohio.

Generations of care

Today, we have 3rd-generation funeral directors. Everyone at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home takes pride in carrying out the legacy of our grandfather and founder, and we look forward to assisting families in the Greenville area for many more years.

We show our support of the community through several local organizations. Zechar Bailey Funeral Home is involved in Greenville Rotary Club, Greenville Kiwanis, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Darke County Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Greenville, YOLO of Darke County Inc., Bridges to College, St. Mary's Schools, Darke County Foundation, Versailles Chamber of Commerce and Versailles Poultry Days.
