Through his work in the funeral industry, Christopher has compassionately supported families throughout the Stamford community since 1998. He became a licensed funeral director in Connecticut in 2000. In addition to his duties as a general manager and funeral director, he is a proud father to his daughter, Madeline Rose. Christopher is also a member of the Rotary Club of Stamford. He has worked closely with the organization's scholarship program, storytelling event and the national Rotary dictionary program.
Christopher is a member of the Chambers of Commerce of Greenwich, Monroe and Newtown. He is a certified presenter for the “Your Life, Your Legacy: Plan to Make it Right” program as well as the “Funeral Customs and Rituals” hospice program. He was proud to be a part of a Stamford funeral home awarded with the 2016 and 2017 Pursuit of Excellence awards from the National Funeral Directors Association. This award, recognizing exceptions business standards and proficiency of funeral service, is bestowed on less than 1% of all funeral homes nationally and is a clear reflection of Christopher’s compassionate support of his families and community.
Joseph John Singer
Joseph Singer was born in Stamford, Connecticut, and moved to Norwalk at an early age. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Norwalk and was the captain of the football team. Joe attended Norwalk Community College and graduated from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in 1971.
While attending McAllister’s, Joe secured a part-time job at Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk, where he served his apprenticeship. He left in 1981 to open a retail business and ultimately decided to return to the funeral industry in 1984. That year he joined Collins Funeral Home where he served as a funeral director and general manager until 2006.
Joe joined Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home in 2008, where he continues to serve as a funeral director and embalmer. He loves helping families who call upon him in their time of need. He also gets great satisfaction from mentoring and teaching student funeral directors.
Joe is a member of St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church in Norwalk, the Stamford Racing Pigeon Club, the Harley Owners Group and also enjoys photography. He is married and the father of 3 children and grandfather of 8 grandchildren.
