Lindsay Gruntorad is a lifetime resident of Long Island, New York. She became a licensed funeral director in 2012. Lindsay originally realized she wanted to become a funeral director with the passing of her grandmother when she was only 16 years old.
“I wanted to help families in their most difficult time. I felt that I could understand and empathize with their unique and different needs,” Lindsay says. "My motivation comes from knowing that it is a privilege and honor to be entrusted with the care of a family's loved one.”
In her spare time, she focuses on her annual coat drive, a project she has organized for over 10 years. Throughout that time, more than 7,000 coats have been collected and distributed to underprivileged Long Islanders. Lindsay takes the utmost pride in serving the Jewish community and looks forward to continuing her career at Jewish Memorial Chapel of Long Island.
