A native to Lexington, North Carolina, James Smith graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College with a degree in funeral service education in 2015. James soon put his education and experience to work at our funeral home, where he helps families during their time of need.
James currently spends his time after work with his longtime girlfriend, making a home for them both. His hobbies include going to the movies, enjoying theatre shows and attending live concerts. When time allows he also enjoys trips to the beach and mountains.
Sarah Christine White
Sarah White is originally from Clemmons, North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in environmental science in 2005 from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Before her days in funeral service, Sarah spent time at her local fire department as a Certified Level I & II Firefighter and Licensed EMT. Being a first responder exposed Sarah to different situations of people in need, including families who needed support when they had lost a loved one. This eventually sparked a passion and led to her beginning a career in funeral service in 2014.
Sarah graduated in May 2016 with honors from Fayetteville Technical Community College with her diploma in funeral directing. Sarah is now a licensed funeral director in North Carolina. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, continuing her education, exercising, volunteering with her local fire department and attending High Point University basketball games.
George Kenneth McDowell
George "Ken" McDowell has been in funeral service since the 1950s. He is a native of Randolph County and a previous owner of Ridge-McDowell Funeral Home in Asheboro. Ken is a former business partner with Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point, Archdale and Thomasville, where he spent most of his funeral service career, assisting the families in our community.
Ken is married and the father of two adult children, is the proud grandfather of four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. When not in High Point, he and his wife enjoy their time on High Rock Lake.
