    Jeffery "Scott" Mcbrayer has been an associate of Dignity Memorial® since December of 1990. He currently serves as managing director, proudly guiding each family with compassionate care. Scott earned a business management degree from Samford University and extended his education at Jefferson State College, obtaining a mortuary science degree.

    Scott is extremely involved in the community and currently serving his 3rd term as Mayor of Homewood, having served 2 terms on the Homewood City Council prior. He is a member of the Jefferson County Mayor's Association and the director for the southern portion of Jefferson County Emergency Management Association, representing the cities of Homewood, Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills and Hoover.

    When he is not at the funeral home serving families, Scott enjoys fishing.

  • Steven R Jones

    Office Manager

    Steven has been in the funeral business for more than 25 years. He has worked in Birmingham, Trussville, Anniston and Homewood.

    He and his wife, Susan, have been married more than 20 years—they met at a funeral. When Steven is not working, he enjoys relaxing at the lake.

    Funeral Director

    George has been a funeral director with Dignity Memorial® in Homewood, Alabama, since August, 2005. He has a degree in commerce and business administration from the University of Alabama. George has served the families in the Homewood / Birmingham area with the utmost professionalism and compassion.

    Outside the funeral home, George is active with the Knights of Columbus, Boy Scouts and other community organizations. He has represented Ridout's Valley Chapel on the board of directors for Community Grief Support where he recently served as chairman.

    Since 1978 Terry has provided compassionate care to the families of Jefferson, St. Clair and Shelby counties. Terry earned an associate degree in mortuary science from Jefferson State Jr. College in 1981. As a proud member of the Dignity Memorial® team, he is honored to guide families through such a difficult time. When Terry is not serving families, he enjoys attending church at Third Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, gardening and spending time with his 3 granddaughters.
