    Vern A Pixley

    Managing Director

    As part of the family who owned and operated the Pixley Funeral Homes in the Rochester area of Michigan, Vern A. Pixley grew up in the funeral industry. As the sixth generation of the Pixley family in Rochester, Vern attended Rochester High School and graduated from Michigan State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in business. He continued his education at Wayne State University, receiving a mortuary science certificate, and became a licensed funeral director in 1982. After college Vern returned to the family business and helped his father grow their firms into very successful operations.

    Vern has always been very involved in his community and has served on many advisory boards including the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester, Rochester Hills Museum Board, City of Rochester Planning Commission and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. From 2007 to 2011 he served as the vice president of the Rochester Hills City Council. Vern is married and has two children.

    Timothy D Summerford

    General Manager

    Tim Summerford began working in funeral service at the age of 17. In 1986, he graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago and earned his Michigan Mortuary Science license. Tim joined the Dignity Memorial® team in 2014, where he has served as General Manager and Funeral Director. Certified by the Hospice Foundation of America, Tim regularly presents to hospice and medical professionals throughout Michigan. In addition, Tim is frequently invited to speak about the funeral profession with community groups and educational institutions. Tim and his wife Debbie have been married for over 30 years and are the proud parents to 3 daughters. In his spare time, Tim is an avid reader and enjoys music and theology.

    Kevin Drummelsmith

    Funeral Director

    Since 2016 Kevin has provided compassionate care to families in the Rochester, Auburn Hills and Keego Harbor areas of Michigan. Kevin earned his degree in mortuary science from Wayne State University in 2016. He is proud to be a part of the Dignity Memorial® team, guiding you through one of the most personal times in life. When he is not serving families, Kevin enjoys running, Scouting and spending time with family.

    Gabriele Ducharme

    Funeral Director

    Gabriele Ducharme has been serving families in Rochester since 2015. Originally from Durand, Michigan, she now resides in Oakland County. Gabriele earned her degree in mortuary science from Wayne State University.

    Jennifer Lynn Klemens

    Funeral Director

    Jennifer is a licensed funeral director who graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago. She is a second-generation funeral director who was raised in a funeral home and apprenticed under her father. She has been compassionately serving families within the funeral industry since 2005. Jennifer is proud to be a member of the Dignity Memorial® team, the Michigan Embalmers Society and Pi Sigma Eta Mortuary Honors Fraternity.

    Jennifer lives in Clarkston with her family and enjoys golfing, reading , playing softball and cheering on the Detroit Tigers.

    Andrew Don George Pixley

    Funeral Director

    A lifelong resident of the Rochester area, Andrew grew up working with his father at his family’s funeral home. He graduated from Rochester Adams High School in 2010 and earned his bachelor’s degree in mortuary science from Wayne State University. He is also an active member of the Detroit Athletic Club and their intermediate council. Andrew lives in downtown Rochester and enjoys spending time on Lake Huron and scuba diving locally and abroad.
