Dan has served families in Killeen, Texas, for more than 35 years. He has been licensed for more than 30 years. He is a graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. Prior to working in funeral service, Dan was deputy chief of police in Killeen.
He was recruited by Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home founders Bill Crawford and Del Bowers as the first non-family member for their firm. "They mentored and made me the director and embalmer I am today," Dan says. "When the time came, it was very emotional, and it was a true honor to serve the families of both my great mentors as their funeral director."
Originally from Brownwood, Dan has lived in Killeen for more than 55 years.
Joyce Arlene Gilbert
For more than a decade, Bobby has provided comfort and care to families in the Killeen, Copperas Cove and Temple.
Born in Belton and raised in Killeen, Bobby is a retired school teacher from Killeen ISD. He is also a member of Killeen Masonic Lodge #1125, where he is a past master. He is an elder at Lifeway Fellowship Church in Killeen. He and his wife, Robin, serve meals at Henderson's Restaurant during the holidays.
Joanna Beth Veal
Originally from Houston, Joanna Veal has served families in the Temple, Killeen and Copperas Cove areas for several years. Joanna has been a licensed funeral director since the 2000s, serving in the Dallas, Austin and central Texas areas. She graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 2006.
Joanna is married to a Temple firefighter and is a mother to 2 beautiful daughters. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, playing with her daughters and spending time with family.
Joseph A DeCroce
Joe has been in the funeral service industry since 1973, when he began his career in Denver. A graduate of Metropolitan State College in Denver and Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Joe served in the U.S. Army as a captain. In 1986, Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home asked Joe to relocate to Texas. In 2016, Joe transitioned into his role of community relations representative. He represents the funeral home as a member of the Copperas Cove Exchange Club, Military Affairs Community of Harker Heights, and Chamber of Commerce locations in Killeen, Temple and Copperas Cove. He is also an ambassador for the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce and First Calvary Division Association.
