Candice Blankenship was born March 21, 1981 the middle of three girls in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Her father a preacher, Candice moved often when young until 1997 when the family moved to Marion, North Carolina, where her father pastored the Marion First Free Will Baptist Church until 2004. She graduated from McDowell High School in 1999 and continued her education at John A. Gupton Mortuary College in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating in 2002. Candice began in the funeral industry at Kirksey Funeral Home the day after graduation.
Candice was married to her high school sweetheart in 2003 and had her daughter in 2008. The family attends Grace Baptist Church in Marion where Candice is an active member; teaching Sunday school and leading AWANA games. She and her husband also serve as youth leaders and on the Baptismal committee. Candice enjoys reading, being at the lake, camping and spending time with family and friends.
