Since the 1970s, Robert Colston has served families in the Richmond area of Virginia. He earned his mortuary science degree from John Tyler Community College and is dedicated to and passionate about helping people.
Robert has been with Dignity Memorial® since the early 1990s and is past president of the Central District Funeral Directors Association.
Robert lives in Midlothian and is a member of Chesterfield Baptist Church and the Brandermill Ruritan Club. He has also coached recreational sports in his community. In his spare time, Robert enjoys golfing, boating and rooting for ACC collegiate teams.
Harold E Decker
A native of upstate New York, Harry lived more than 30 years in Iowa and Illinois. In 2002, he began his career as a family service counselor in Davenport, Iowa. He moved to Virginia in 2010 and continued his career in funeral service there.
Harry graduated in 2017 with an advanced standing diploma in mortuary science and an associate’s degree in applied science from Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, Iowa. Harry then earned his funeral service license from the Commonwealth of Virginia after completing an internship.
Harry lives in Ashland with his wife and their furry feline. He has three grown children who live in the Midwest and a stepson in Virginia. He plays trumpet and flugelhorn in the Hanover Concert Band, bass drum in the St. Andrews Legion Pipes & Drums, dabbles at piano, and sings at funeral and memorial services. He appreciates the U.S. military and is a member of Bugles Across America, which honors veterans with the playing of "Taps" at memorial services. In his spare time, Harry likes to play pickleball and golf, go hunting and target shooting, and do handyman projects around the house.
Kristen Nicole Steinmetz
Kristen Steinmetz is a licensed funeral director and has been part of the Dignity Memorial ® family since 2018. After losing her mother in 2008, Kristen knew she wanted to help other families through this difficult time and went on to obtain her mortuary science degree from Tidewater Community College. She is currently working to earn her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Kristen is married, has a daughter and a white German Shepherd. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, reading, collecting World War II memorabilia and traveling to Europe.
Laura Zicarelli has been in funeral service since 2013. With both undergraduate and master’s degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University, she also holds a degree from the funeral service program at John Tyler Community College. A licensed funeral director since 2017, Laura enjoys spending her spare time with her fiancé, dog and horse.
