Kenneth H. Sherrie Sr. had a dream: He wanted to serve his community as a funeral director. After graduating from Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science in March 1960, Ken, along with his wife, Bette, opened Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home in Newfane, New York, on August 1, 1960.
Their son, Kenneth H. Sherrie II, joined them in the family business after he graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in 1978.
Today, Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home is a member of the Dignity Memorial® network, the largest group of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers in North America. Ken and his wife Gigi continue to manage the business, upholding a decades-long tradition of compassionate care and excellent service.
