Serving Overland Park since 1932

In 1932, brothers Royce and Wilbur Hoge established Hoge Funeral Home, where service became a tradition. After 40 years, the McGilley family joined Hoge Funeral Home in 1976, and have continued to provide the same high standards that the Overland Park community has come to expect.

Growth and updates

Located in historic downtown Overland Park, our funeral home chapel sits on the Santa Fe Trail, across the street from the Carriage House, an important feature of the Strang Line commuter railroad. Many of our longtime residents recall how McGilley and Hoge Chapel began in a large residence when Santa Fe Drive was a narrow, 2-lane, gravel road. Throughout the years, our Overland Park funeral home and chapel have been updated to better serve the changing needs of the families we serve in this lovely, historic area.

Today, we’re honored to be a member of the Dignity Memorial® network.
