Our funeral home has a chapel with flexible seating for up to 100 guests plus overflow. A welcoming reception area lets you host a catered event before or after a service.

Want a burrito bar and a margarita machine? You got it. Hand-carved barbecued pork with all the trimmings and sweet iced tea? Of course. Our professional catering services take care of all the details, so you can spend more time with family and friends.

Personalized funerals and memorials

Everyone who works at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary believes there’s nothing more rewarding than helping families celebrate their loved ones. With a high level of care and attention to detail, we create beautiful personalized funerals and cremation memorials.

One example: A family came in to plan a funeral ahead of time and described a lifetime of raising racehorses. The wife joked that if it was possible, she wanted to ride to her grave on a horse. When she died, we arranged to have her urn carried to the graveside in a velvet bag on a saddled horse. With her boots in the stirrups, her friends and family walked with the horse to her final resting place. It was a touching event that no one who attended will ever forget.

Cremation in Phoenix

There are many options for cremation in Phoenix—and they're not all equal. We specialize in cremation services that honor loved ones in personalized ways, and families love our all-inclusive pricing. With expertise in scattering ashes and a friendly team who pays attention to every detail, we provide service that is second to none.

More and more people are choosing cremation over traditional burial, but most aren’t familiar with the many options:

• a cremation without a funeral or memorial service of any kind.
• a funeral with your loved one present, followed by cremation.
• a cremation followed by a scattering, cemetery memorialization or celebration of life—or all three.

If you're interested in cemetery placement, there are plenty of options at our cemetery. However, for those who wish for something more momentous, Neptune Memorial Reef is an underwater cremation garden off the coast of Florida. A Celestis Memorial Spaceflight takes ashes into space for a little while or forever.

Veterans burial benefits

As a Level Four Founding Community Partner with We Honor Veterans, we are honored to serve our nation’s heroes and take this responsibility seriously. Our team is well-versed in military funeral honors and the burial benefits offered by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. We can walk you through the requirements and ensure your veteran has a most dignified memorial.

Phoenix Memorial Park

When Phoenix Memorial Park was built in 1964, there was nothing in the area save for desert animals and sandy valleys that would sometimes become impassable during rainstorms and delay burial services until things became navigable again. Today though, the cemetery is grassy all year long. In fact, it's among the few lush, nondesert cemeteries in the Phoenix area.

Phoenix Memorial Park is notable for its verdant grounds, bubbling fountains and large pine and mesquite trees that make the property an oasis. Lush grasses and colorful foliage provide a pleasing visual counterpoint to the austere red desert surrounding us.

Burial options

Whatever your family's faith or tradition, Phoenix Memorial Park has a burial option for you. The cemetery offers monument sections for in-ground casket burials, lawn crypts and estates for double-depth burials that accommodate two, four or six people. These family estates are bordered with rose bushes and shrubbery, as well as seating areas and room for memorial benches.

The cemetery also has two mausoleums—one built with gleaming Lake Superior green granite—and we plan to add a third. Cremation options include single niches and family niches for placement of multiple urns. We also offer cremation scattering options.

Remembrance programs

At Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, our service to you doesn’t stop at the conclusion of a memorial service. At year’s end, we host a holiday remembrance with refreshments and floral tributes for families who've lost loved ones during that year. On Memorial Day, we host a stirring patriotic service with speakers from local veterans groups and a military flyover to commemorate those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
