    Peter I Johnson has been proudly serving residents of the North Hills with compassion and dignity since the 1990s. A graduate of Washington and Jefferson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Pete has been a licensed funeral director since 1997. He has experience in the funeral customs and traditions of many nationalities and religious groups. Pete is a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Scottish Rite, Syria Shriners, the Elks and Teutonia Mannerchor. He enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his wife and has 2 children.

    Joyce E Forsythe

    Funeral Director

    Joyce has been a licensed funeral director since the 1980s, serving the North Side and North Hills communities. She has worked successfully in numerous avenues of funeral service by being part of the community in neighborhood, church and school environments.

    Joyce believes that each loved one and family member she serves becomes a part of her heart.

    James O Pinkerton


    James O. “Jim” Pinkerton is the son of Orion C. Pinkerton, who founded our firm in 1946. Jim grew up living in the funeral home and has been a licensed funeral director since 1973. Now retired from day to day activity, he remains on the board of directors of the firm and serves as a consultant.

    Active within his profession, Jim has served as an officer and past president of both the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Associations and on the executive committee of the National Funeral Directors Association. He served for over 20 years on the Federal Mass Fatality and Disaster Team (D-Mort), as a part of the response to the US Air Flight 427 Disaster, the United Flight 93 Disaster on 9/11, Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi and the Continental Flight 3407 Disaster in Buffalo, New York. He served for 15 years as a professional member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Funeral Directors. Jim currently serves on the board of directors of both the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and the Union Dale Cemetery. Having had a parallel career in Emergency Medical Services and Medical Transportation, Jim also served on a number of EMS and health care boards.
