Putting families first has always been the cornerstone of the work we do at Aycock Funeral Home – Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel. The caring team knows that losing a loved one is a difficult emotional experience and goes the extra mile to meet special needs and sentimental requests. That could mean a traditional funeral with a graveside service and a catered reception or a basic cremation with cremated remains scattered in the Atlantic Ocean. It could also mean a tribute that closely resembles a party, with live music, favorite foods, a full bar and personalized mementos.

Would you like a butterfly release for Grandmother? You got it. Monogrammed cupcakes for your aunt? You can have that, too. We can bring your grandfather in on a Harley or send your husband home in a canoe. If you can imagine it, we can deliver it.

National transferability

We are affiliated with Aycock Funeral Home locations in Jupiter, Stuart, Jensen Beach and Fort Pierce, as well as another Port St. Lucie location. Fernhill Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum in Stuart, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce and Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta are our local cemetery affiliates. We are happy to coordinate with the cemetery of your choice.

History

G. Wade Aycock opened Aycock Funeral Home on South Federal Highway in Stuart, in December 1968. A demanding businessman and compassionate funeral professional, he quickly established a reputation for providing the finest funeral, memorial and cremation services anywhere around.

Treasure Coast expansion

Aycock's first expansion was into Jensen Beach in 1973. Later, in 1982, Wade opened a third location of Aycock Funeral Home, in Port St. Lucie, on Floresta Drive. Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center opened in Jupiter in 1987. The fifth Aycock Funeral Home was added to the grounds of Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce in 1996.

Along the way, the original Stuart location got an on-site crematory. Aycock Funeral Home opened a second location in Port St. Lucie, on Bayshore Boulevard in 1995. It combined operations with Roger L. Byrd – Port St. Lucie Funeral Home in 2004, and is now known as Aycock Funeral Home – Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel. A second Stuart location operates as Aycock Funeral Home – Young & Prill Chapel, about 15 minutes south of the original Stuart location.
