With 2 locations just minutes apart, Schmidt Dhonau Kucner Funeral Home was founded in 1932 by Andrew J. Schmidt. We uphold the same tradition of fine funeral services he started back then.
Over the years, greater Cincinnati families have come to depend on us for a full range of compassionate care—from memorial planning to grief counseling, caskets to monuments, catering to cemetery services. Our experienced team can handle just about any request. Our Reading and Sharonville locations offer convenience for residents of Sharon Woods, Evendale, Lincoln Heights, Arlington Heights and more.

Special funeral services
At Schmidt Dhonau Kucner Funeral Home, we specialize in memorial services that reflect the lives they honor, and we take the time to get to know what was important to your loved one. Then, we set about helping you tell a story with a ceremony that captures a person's essence.
Maybe it's a full, traditional funeral that incorporates certain religious methods and customs. Perhaps it's a simple cremation with a scattering in a personally meaningful place. More and more, it's a full-on celebration with live music, favorite foods, personalized take-aways and a send-off that reflects a passion. Whatever the wish, we deliver.
