Beautifully renovated funeral home

Built in 1920, our horseshoe-shaped building is a mausoleum rich with history and beautifully ornate details. Newly developed Funeraria del Angel San Diego occupies an interior section of the building, coupling elegant existing charm with modern, comfortable funeral home accommodations.

From the moment you step through the large double-door entryway, you are immediately met with a warm and welcoming open-concept foyer featuring stunning arched windows with colorful stained-glass details, neutral and calming colors, luxurious leather furniture, rod iron fixtures and an abundance of natural light.

Comfortable and flexible spaces

Funeraria del Angel San Diego offers flexible spaces for both intimate and larger gatherings. To the right of the foyer sits our beautiful chapel that comfortably accommodates up to 120 guests with chair seating. Featuring three beautifully situated arched windows overlooking the outdoor patio and a full audio/visual system complete with a large-screen television for those who wish to display personalized slideshows and videos, the chapel can be used for viewings and services and is often converted into a reception space as well.

Immediately off the chapel is our small café with a refrigerator and microwave. Should you wish to host a reception for family and friends after the service, the café is the perfect area to place food and refreshments while guests gather in the adjacent space. We offer a full range of catering selections, including Hispanic menu options, and are happy to arrange these details on your behalf.

To the left of the foyer is our quiet and comfortable sitting area. A living room style environment, the sitting area is often used for arrangements in which to meet with an experienced associate to discuss and plan all necessary funeral arrangements.

Directly ahead of the foyer sits another set of double arched doors that lead out to our patio. With bench seating and tables for 30 people, the outdoor patio provides a serene area to reflect and remember.

Cremation options

Not everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you are interested in cremation, we can explain the process and your various choices. From a direct cremation without a memorial service or a witness cremation to a full funeral service before or after the cremation and more, we help you understand this increasingly common choice and handle all of the cremation arrangements. As an added convenience, we have full use and access to the onsite crematory located across the street at Cypress View Mausoleum, Mortuary and Crematory.
