Skillin-Carroll Mortuary recognizes, understands and embraces cultural diversity and uniqueness. We want to help you celebrate the life of your loved one. Our funeral home offers a variety of options to meet your needs, including funeral services in our chapel or at a church or cemetery graveside of your choice.
Your family can also select from beautiful oak ceremonial caskets, simple cremations and graveside services to inter a loved one's urn in a niche or burial in the cemetery of your choice. To better serve the Santa Paula community, we also host celebrant services, a non-denominational or non-religious funeral service that celebrates your loved one's life.
Our Santa Paula funeral home also provides you with flexibility in transfer services and visitation options. We'll help transfer your loved one to their origin country, or receive them easily from another state or country. In addition, we offer both standard visitation hours or all-night visitation, ensuring your family has the time they need to pay their respects.
The staff at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary truly cares about your family and will personalize and customize services to give a lasting tribute to your loved one. We'll show DVDs containing photographs of family and friends—played on our flat-screen TVs and set to beautiful music. Skillin-Carrol Mortuary opened its funeral home in Santa Paula, California, in 1932. The mortuary was founded by H.B Skillin with a dream to offer professional and caring funeral services to families in Santa Paula, Fillmore and Ventura communities. Our funeral home's original name was Skillin Snyder Mortuary.
Skillin-Carrol Mortuary’s main chapel was designed to provide families with a warm and comfortable place to accommodate large funeral services. H.B Skillin hired a famous artist, Cornelius Bokte, to paint a mural on the front wall of the chapel. Skillin was a pioneer in plan-ahead funeral options and served the entire Santa Paula community with a high standard of excellence in preparing and performing outstanding visitations and services.
Today, our staff continues this high standard of service. We pride ourselves on our reputation for helping families in Santa Paula plan funeral and memorial services and look forward to serving you.
