    Sara Helen Collins

    General Manager

    Born and raised in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, Sara attended college for engineering and served in the U.S. Coast Guard before earning her associate degree in funeral service from Mount Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts.

    Sara lived in Waltham for several years with her husband and 2 children until they relocated to Scituate. She then became the managing funeral director of the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home in Scituate. Sara takes great pride in serving the community as a Scituate resident.

    For leisure, Sara is usually spending time with her family, reading, playing piano and taking walks on the local beaches or around the Scituate Lighthouse. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Scituate and Marshfield and has been involved on the board of directors for the Scituate Chamber of Commerce.

    Michael Denis McCormack

    Funeral Director

    A native of Rockland, Massachusetts, Michael McCormack attended Rockland High School and then St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, where he earned a degree in sociology in 2010. Following university, he moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he attended Nova Scotia Community CollegeKingstec Campus, graduating with honors and earning an associate’s degree in funeral and allied health services.

    Mike began his funeral service apprenticeship at J. Albert Walker Funeral Home in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and became a licensed embalmer and funeral director with the province of Nova Scotia in 2013.

    He moved back to Massachusetts in September 2016 and now lives with his wife, Sarah, and their 3 cats: Bill, Reggie and Tessie. He enjoys spending time with them and traveling to visit his extended family in Canada.
