Barry has served the families of Sylacauga and Childersburg with utmost professionalism and compassion for more than 40 years. He has been with Curtis and Son Funeral Home since 1974.
Barry graduated from John A. Gupton College in 1982 with a degree in mortuary science. He holds a degree in business administration from Faulkner University and also attended Birmingham School of Law.
If he is not at the funeral home, you can likely find Barry playing golf or spending time with his family.
Leonard S Murphy
Since 1996, Shaddix has provided compassionate funeral care to families in the Sylacauga and Childersburg areas. Shaddix earned his degree in mortuary science from Jefferson State Community College in 1998. He is proud to be part of the Dignity Memorial® team, guiding you through one of the most personal times in life.
Shaddix has served as the Talladega County coroner since 2010; prior to become coronor, he was deputy coroner for four years. He is also a member of the Childersburg Parks and Recreation board.
When he is not at the funeral home, you will likely find Shaddix enjoying time on the lake with his wife, three kids and beautiful granddaughter.
Michael Shane Culver
Since 1994, Shane has helped families plan funerals and cremations. Shane earned his degree in mortuary science from Jefferson State Community College in 1998. When he is not working, Shane enjoys spending time with family and has a passion for classic cars.
