History

James C. Reynolds went to work for Drake Funeral Home in 1935, and in 1937, he and Jan Reynolds purchased the business, renaming it Reynolds Funeral Chapel. Originally located downtown Twin Falls on 2nd Avenue West, the business moved in 1959 to a new facility at 2466 Addison Avenue East.

In the early 1960s, their son Paul came to work with his father, and in 1984, Paul took over the business operations. After Jim’s passing in 1986, Paul continued to operate the funeral home.

He was a person who loved funeral service and his community, caring for Twin Falls families with compassion. Paul was active in the community through the Magic Valley Hospital Foundation, Kiwanis, Full Gospel Business Men’s Association and St. Edwards Soup Kitchen. He and his wife, Roberta, were members of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Twin Falls. Paul died in March 2003 after a battle with cancer.
