Mark Kacer has been a licensed funeral director since 1995. Mark’s true passion is helping families through their most difficult times, building relationships and adapting to their personal desires and needs. Born in Des Moines and raised in Altoona, Mark graduated from Grand View College in Des Moines and earned his mortuary degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College. Mark has been married for 24 years to his wife, Laura. Together, they have twin daughters. Mark enjoys spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities and soccer.
Casey Mark Smith
A second-generation funeral director, Casey followed in his father’s footsteps when he chose a career in the funeral industry. He has a passion for helping families honor the lives of their loved ones and start them on the journey of healing.
A lifelong learner, Casey graduated from Grand View University and Des Moines Area Community College. He is working on his master’s degree in thanatology at Marian University, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. In 2017, he earned the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. Experienced in both sides of the classroom, Casey serves as a substitute instructor in the Des Moines Public School District.
Casey is a member of the Association of Death Education and Counseling and St. John’s Lutheran Church. In his free time, he enjoys tag sales and restoring his 1923 Arts & Crafts-style home in Des Moines.
Tiffany Marie Taylor
Tiffany Taylor has been serving at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel and Mortuary since August 2013. Although beginning in a part time position, she quickly became a full time office manager while still in the mortuary science school. Tiffany graduated from the mortuary science program in 2015 and became a licensed funeral director in December 2016. She is very proud and honored to guide families through some of the most personal and tough times in life.
When she is not serving families, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family, playing fetch with her dogs, kayaking down the rivers in Iowa, camping and caddying for her husband around the state.
Andrew David Wegener
Andrew has been serving families as a funeral director since 2007. He grew up on a farm in northern Iowa, received his mortuary science diploma from Des Moines Area Community College and has lived in the Des Moines area ever since his graduation. Andrew is driven by the connections he makes with each family he serves. In his free time, Andrew enjoys participating in recreation leagues for many different sports as well as golfing, fishing, watching movies, and being around family and friends.
