Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem, Illinois, has a rich history helping families with their funeral services. For decades, we have created funeral and cremation options that celebrate life with dignity and respect.

A tradition of care

Our founder, Stanley King, was among the first funeral directors in Allendale, Illinois, and he later purchased the West Salem funeral home from the Busefink family. The Busefinks were in the furniture business in West Salem, operating as both a furniture craftsman and casket maker.

Stanley and his wife, Geneva, served bereaved families in the West Salem area and worked tirelessly to provide the comfort needed. In the 60s, Fred and Fay Ingram and their son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Dolores, purchased both the West Salem and Allendale funeral homes from the King family, with the intent to continue the history of comfort and care.

Since that time, Curtis and Dolores retired and our West Salem funeral home became part of the Dignity Memorial® network. As a member, we're able to continue our legacy of care and provide the value you expect from a locally operated funeral home. We consider it an honor to serve our community and welcome all families with warmth and compassion.
