For those interested in hosting a reception before or after a service, our intimate reception area seats 80 people. We have full catering capabilities, including kosher catering, and are honored to arrange these details on your behalf.

History

Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Golden Door opened in 1962 as Lundberg Golden Door Chapel in the first master-planned adult community in the United States. Owner Robert D. Lundberg expanded the Youngtown, Arizona, facility in 1971, adding a large chapel, two viewing rooms, offices and a five-bay garage. The name Golden Door was his wife’s idea, due to residents of the surrounding retirement area (Sun City, El Mirage and Surprise) who were enjoying their golden years.

The funeral home operated as Lundberg Golden Door Chapel until August 2002. Today, we are part of the Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services group of funeral homes and crematories, who share our pledge to provide honest, affordable care.
