Terry was born and raised in Town of Tonawanda, NY. After marrying Lynette in 1976, John Moore Plumbing brought him to Houston a year later where they began their family. In the early 80’s he began McCadden Plumbing which grew rapidly by word of mouth due to his honesty and work ethic. He was so trusted that customers were known to leave their house keys and a blank check for work to be done. He had a special place in his heart for his widowed customers.
Terry loved his children dearly. He was always at their scout and sporting events either coaching or to cheer for them and he showed his love by helping them whenever needed. He was always just a phone call away and could fix anything or walk you through how to fix it. He was a proud Grampa and loved hugging on the grandkids, especially as babies. He traveled to Atlanta often to see Mike, Becca, Bryce and Brady. He rarely missed one of Zachary’s games and doted on McKinley as his only granddaughter.
Terry enjoyed traveling, he was always willing to go anywhere Lynette planned and they had great times. He loved to umpire both on the field and from the stands. He was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for his family saying his food was better because he put love into his cooking, especially his Chicken soup which could cure any cold. He was a true servant of the Lord and served the St. Elizabeth community as an Acolyte and numerous other needs of the Parish. Doing God’s work was important to him, he enjoyed ten years of Mission work through SOS serving the Mayans of Guatemala.
It was a heart-wrenching shock to all who knew him, Terry died by suicide. We believe he was feeling the effects of his relapsing Multiple Sclerosis. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lynette Byrnes. His son Michael, wife Rebecca and sons Bryce and Brady of Atlanta. His daughter Kellie Patrick, husband Ryan and children Zachary, McKinley and Blake of Houston. Extended family includes Leora and Richard Yanda, Tim and Linda Byrnes, Michelle Byrnes, Karen Cantie and several nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Mary Helen and brothers Michael and Lawrence.
