Lawrence (Larry) Edward Clarke

November 25th, 1936 – November 11th, 2019

Larry passed away peacefully in Abbotsford, BC. He will be sadly missed by his wife Pat Clarke, daughters Teri Bushman (Jeff) and Lori Clarke (Peggy Blumenthal); granddaughters Jessi and Jenai and great grandson Mathu; sisters Joyce Gorby (Bert) and Kelly Kaminski. Predeceased by his two black labs Cher and Timmy. Larry grew up on the open ice rinks of Regina and fell in love with hockey, he moved to Vancouver in 1958. In 1971 he moved to Abbotsford where he eventually owned and operated Clarke projects concrete pumping. He played hockey for the Coppertones and continued to play up until his 82 year! Larry had a generous heart, never saying no to anyone. He always made people feel comfortable in his home and had a great sense of humor. Larry loved playing his guitar and writing songs, inventing all sorts of functional gadgets and laughing with his coffee buddies. Larry’s last words of wisdom “Be kind, make people laugh, and be happy because life is short." In lieu of flowers please donate to Abbotsford Minor Hockey Association. The family would like to thank all the kind Doctors, nurses and staff at Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
