I first met Maynard in about 1990 when he was working out of his basement in Abbotsford. I was pretty new to the building business and I would say a little nervous. Maynard welcomed me into his home and with his relaxed easy manner made me feel comfortable with the custom design process. Over the following 30 years he became more than a business acquaintance, he became a friend. Maynards professionalisms and his easy way were such a pleasure. My business partners and any of our clients he worked with were always raving about what a great guy he was. My special memory of him was that he loved to hop in his sports car on a sunny day and drive out to Hope and have a look at his work going from paper to someone’s home.
On behalf of myself and my partner Steven, I offer our sincere condolences to Nancy, Michael, Brian, Daniel and all of the family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time

Maynard designed most of our plans since he first got into design. It was a privilege to have known him and we will all miss him.

We are truly saddened by the news of Maynard passing. May fond memories of Maynard and the sympathy and heartfelt condolences from friends and family bring you comfort.

When creating plans, he was always willing to provide his ideas while listening to our needs. We will always remember him as creative and witty. For over twenty years, Maynard patiently worked with us on numerous building projects including our own home. We are thankful to have met and worked with Maynard.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Nancy and his family during this difficult time.

Nancy, I was so shocked when you told me about Maynard on Sunday. Madge and I are deeply sorry for your loss.
Maynard designed two of our homes on Eagle Mountain, and literally hundreds of others. We looked forward to working with him always , and I can tell you, it was always a pleasure. He was the best.
He will be missed.

I'm glad you have a strong family to help you through this terrible time.
