Margaret Ann Encinas, 69, of Abilene, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 in Abilene. She was born on October 13, 1952 in Marquette, Michigan to the late Joseph Montcalm and Faye Robinson Montcalm. She was a retired Customer Service Coordinator at Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Margaret was a selfless woman. Her life revolved around her family and friends. She was the type of woman to give you the shirt off of her back and not think twice. She will be remembered for her love of all creatures, especially her animals; Pye, Ozzy, and Flash. Throughout her life she had many spoiled animals that were blessed to have her as a pawrent. Every year she would make a trip back up north. She cherished every moment she had in Michigan to see her siblings.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Encinas; grandchildren, Ashleigh Savannah Martin (Zach Davis), Troy Michael Martin (Victoria Taylor), Kyle James Encinas and Joseph Michael Encinas; great grandchild, Mavis Lana Martin; siblings, Rob Montcalm, Mary Lajeunesse, Peter Montcalm and Carol Biederman; countless nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two children, Matthew John Encinas and Lana Marie Encinas and one sister, Deborah Jean Montcalm.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to All Kind Animal Initiative.
