Services celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
Molly was born on December 9 1948 in Matador, TX to the late O.C. and Martha (Turner) Campbell. She grew up on a farm west of Kress with her three brothers. She enjoyed life on the farm but remembers the joy of finally getting indoor plumbing and not having to use the old outhouse. After graduating from High School in Kress she went on to further her education. Molly possessed a strong intellect and was a lifelong learner and attended McMurry, and West Texas A&M. She ultimately earned her Master’s Degree. While living in Canyon, TX 3 young brothers invited Molly and her sister-in-law to teach them to swim the lessons bloomed into a friendship with her young neighbors. When the kids invited her home to meet their father, Mr. Billy Ted Box to obtain permission to go on a picnic the rest was history. She married Billy Ted Box on April 13, 1973 and they all became one family. They moved to the DFW area for a few years, and then ultimately settled in Mount Pleasant Texas. Molly enjoyed taking care of the kids and home while in Mount Pleasant but also found time to work as a local EMS. In 1995 they relocated to Abilene and set roots down. Once in Abilene Molly again devoted her time to family and working as a substitute teacher for the Abilene Independent School District. Molly will be remembered for her love of family, her quiet nature, and love for Astronomy. She was an avid reader and enjoyed discovering something new through a book or the internet. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of our family but we find comfort in all the memories she has left us.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Ted Box; and cherished son, Trent Box.
She is survived by her children, Todd Box and his wife Belinda, Terry Box and his wife Janet, Kerry Box and his wife Melissa, Kara Box and fiancé Josh, and Merri Box and wife Lili; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Jerry Campbell and his wife Kathy, Gene Campbell and his wife Jeanine, and James Campbell and his wife Brenda.
