Edmund “Eddie” Acela age 84, beloved husband of the late Clara. Entered into rest Wed. April 10th, he was the loving father of Charles (Sharon),Judy (Robert), and Kathy, dearest Grandfather of Kerry, Tracy, Vanessa, Loriann, Terry (deceased), Jamie, Chris ( deceased), Greg, and Carla Marie. A dear brother of Frank Acela and the following deceased Tony and Stanley Acela.

Eddie was very active in the Medina Knights of Columbus and the Ohio Bottle Club. Until his retirement, Eddie was the custodian at Arrowhead Elementary School in Copley. He loved gardening especially growing raspberries. He was known as the “Raspberry Man” by the many customers who purchased his berries.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 16, 11am at the CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME 3653 W. Market Street, Fairlawn, Ohio where the family will receive friends Monday, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Entombment Rose Hill Burial Park.

I am SO sorry for the loss of Uncle Eddie!! We owned an antique shop down the road from the Acelas and were lucky enough to purchase our raspberries every year from Eddie. He was a wonderful,gentle man who always had a smile for everyone. Rest In Peace Eddie.
