Ed was one of those rare wonderful people. He was the ultimate gentleman and a very kind person. He always had a smile on his face and nothing deterred him from what he wanted to do. I was honored to know him from the store and played golf with him. Ed was a very special person and my prayers and thoughts go out to the family as they have lost someone special.

Our hearts are sad today to learn of the passing of a very dear man, our friend Ed Blodgett. I enjoyed so much working with Ed at the Motor Supply, Bowling with Ed on the motor supply team and playing golf with Ed on Monday nights. True story: When Ed and I were partners on the Monday night golf league at Tomac we were playing the back nine one Monday night and we were on hole #15. I hit a second shot from a ways back in the fairway and it looked like my shot when in the hole. Ed looked at me and said Scroggy its in the hole. I said no way, I took off in the cart, left Ed standing in the middle of the fairway and it was in the hole. I started screaming and forgot I left him standing there. I drove back as fast as I could and he said, hey, do you mind if I ride in the cart with you BOZO. We laughed all the way to the clubhouse. We loved this man and will miss him dearly. Our hearts go out to the family and especially to Scott and Susan our very dear friends. May Ed rest in peace.

I remember first meeting Edwin at his wolverine auto parts store in Albion when I purchased auto parts from him. He always had that friendly and kind personality displayed through out his life time. He was also my next door neighbor for many years and attended the same church that we did for many years for which I am thankful and blessed. I pray that God's Holy Spirit will comfort all his family members and give them assurance that Ed is at peace with God and in His total care. May God bless you.
