Judy Leedy Greer

October 3, 1934April 5, 2019

Judy L. Greer of Albion, 84, went home to be with the Lord April 5, 2019, surrounded by her children, Gard Waltz, Stacey Waltz and Darcy Wilson.

Judy retired from Albion College as a Payroll Supervisor. She was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church. She was an avid reader, gardener and animal lover. Her constant companion is Taffy, a yorkie mix that was beloved to her.

Judy was preceded in death by Russel and Beulah Leedy, her parents, and an older brother, Stan Leedy all from Indiana where she grew up.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her 3 children, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Judy’s greatest accomplishment in life was her children, she would say who adored her as much as she adored them.

No services will be held at her request. Donations in her memory can be made to Calhoun County Humane Society or to St. James Episcopal Church.

Arrangements are entrusted to J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, Albion.

Judy and I shared many years together when we worked at Albion College. I saw her every workday. Along with work we had a lot of laughs. We even had a summer of golfing after 5:00, more laughs. She often spoke of her family and I send my sympathy to all of you. Needless to say, your loss is shared by many.

Judy was a dear friend and co-worker who taught me the ropes of the Payroll Department before her retirement. I truly treasured our friendship while working together and after she retired. Her love for her family and dogs was always evident when I talked with her they were her entire life. Some dear memories that will forever be with me of Judy are: While training with her she would always say I want you to do things the way that I do while I am here once I leave you can do things your way. Such a spunky but loving person to learn from. She loved to eat extra crunchy peanut better I would catch her eating a spoonful behind her tall cabinet doors. She also loved sharp cheese and combos you could always find a stash of those in the fridge or her cabinet at work. Rest easy my dear friend, you will be missed. Gard, Stacey & Darcy, she loved you all dearly hold onto all of the wonderful memories that you shared with her they will carry through the many days ahead.

I too worked with Judy at Albion College for many years. We had several talks about things I was struggling with and many long talks of our animals and how we loved them. We shared many laughs together. She will be dearly missed by myself and many others. My condolences to the family and my thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.

Judy Greer was one of the first people I met when I came to Albion College in 1982-83. We had to visit her office on the top floor of Admin to pick up our paychecks! I came to know Judy in various ways throughout the Albion community over the years ....a wonderful person. I will miss her, as will you.

Judy and I worked together for a number of years at Albion College, and she was always a very good friend. She was an easy person to talk to, and was a great friend when I needed someone to share things with. I will miss her, but look forward to the day when we can again share things in heaven.

Gard, Stacey and Darcy,

I worked with Judy for 8 years during my time at Albion. She was a good friend to me, during the fun days and the rough days. I always appreciated her wisdom and support. I have such fond memories of times spent with her and the laughs we shared together. Although we kept in touch after I left Albion, I had not seen her recently. I am so sorry for your loss. A light has gone out in this world.
