Betti Slusher Traficante, 71, of Sebastian Florida, formerly of Winter Springs, FL, passed away on Tuesday September 10, 2019. Betti was born on February 25, 1948 to the late Merle and Harry Griffith in Washington, D.C. She was raised in Alexandria, VA and relocated to Florida in 1970. Betti raised her children in the Orlando area and on September 15, 1989 began a relationship that would span close to 30 years with Russell J. Traficante. Betti spent her career in the mortgage business owning her own mortgage brokerage until her retirement. Betti loved her family above all as well as her many friends. Many would say she never knew a stranger. With Russell by her side they enjoyed traveling, especially, to Italy to enjoy Italian wines and all that Italy had to offer. She also enjoyed taking cruises and sailing. Betti and Russell recently finished their dream home which she considered to be “Her Piece of Paradise”. She also loved the beach, flip flops, sports cars and living life to the fullest. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Betti was preceded in death by her father Harry Griffith and her beloved mother and step-father Merle and Sam Kelton, her sister Carolyn Holt and her brother-in-law Jerry White.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband Russell J. Traficante, her son Kevin Moon and her daughter Wendi Michelle Devine. She is also survived by her granddaughter Maleah Moon and her grandson Niko Devine.
A Celebration of Life Gathering is scheduled for Sunday September 15, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. at the Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, located at 994 E. Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32701. Immediately following the gathering there will be a service to Celebrate Betti’s life at 2:00 P.M.
