

On September 25, 2016, Caroline Colli Crandall, 90, peacefully became an angel. Carol was born and grew up in Brooklyn, New York as the oldest of four children. Her parents were Harry Colli and Edna Mae Loehner Colli. Carol, as she was known by family and friends attended school in Brooklyn at St. Edmunds Catholic School and Girls High. Following her graduation, she worked in the New York City publishing and garment districts. Carol married Louis James Roman in 1948 and together they had six children. Carol had many hobbies, at her home in Northport, New York she raised orchids. Carol also was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed embroidery. In 1969 Carol and Louis moved to Casselberry, Florida with their children and were instrumental in the opening of St. Augustine’s Catholic Church. Carol attended Seminole Community College where she achieved her Associates in Arts and Associates in Science degrees in 1978. Following the death of her husband Louis, Carol spent many years on adventures to Egypt, Canada and Peru. In Peru she traveled to Machu Picchu and the headwaters of the Amazon River. Carol also worked at Ivey’s department store, specializing in sales of crystal and china. In 1988 she married William O. Crandall. The two lived in Orlando for the remainder of their years and had a special interest in organic gardening and antique collecting. Carol also had a special touch with raising Japanese Bonsai. Carol was preceded in death by her husband William, Siblings, Harry, William and Susanne and son Kevin. She is survived by her children. Stephen (Wife, Deborah), Sean (Wife, Manina) Keith (Wife, Marylou), Timothy, Beth (Husband, Patrick) Grandchildren: Chris, Matthew, Patrick, Cristina, Nikki, Kevin, Elijah, Brady, Xuan Mai, Melody, Great Grandson: Nathan, as well as many nephews and nieces. Celebration of Life Service will be held 2 pm Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Baldwin Fairchild East Altamonte Chapel, 994 E Altamonte Dr., Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.
