OBITUARY

Thomas "Buck" Frederic Buckalew III

April 5, 1948March 17, 2020

Thomas, “Buck,” Frederic Buckalew, III of Casselberry, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2020 at 71 years of age.

He was born on April 5, 1948 in Morgantown West Virginia to Thomas F. Buckalew II and Evalyn Sanders Buckalew. He had two older sisters, Jane and Dorothy. He married the love of his life, Mary Anne Norris, on December 23, 1978.

Buck is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. Buck was also a life member of the VFW and a Junior Vice Commander of Post 1 Denver, CO., a life member of the DAV, a life member of the American Legion and a former President of the Scottish American Society of Central Florida.

Buck had great success in the business world as a senior revenue agent, the Director of the Community Blood Bank of South Florida and was the previous owner of a Hearing Improvement Center in Denver, CO. His success in business can be directly attributed to his work ethic and his uncanny business savvy. His attention to detail was legendary and he never accepted anything but the best from everyone he worked with. He took pride in the fact that he always left his customers and senior executives believing he had exceeded their expectations.

He served two years with distinction for the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was second to none in his dedication and bravery. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Navy never left him, as everyone who knew him would quickly and easily attest. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anne Buckalew, his daughter Charlene Ann Pollette and her husband John David Pollette; Two grandchildren, Melissa Ann Hogan and her husband Benjamin Stanton Hogan, Ashley Nicole Torres and her husband Victor Torres. Buck also leaves behind five great children Connor Torres, Ryker Hogan, Isabella Torres, Reyleigh Hogan, and Natalie Torres.

He is predeceased by his grandson, Joshua Thomas Pollette
