Charles Dewayne Miller was born August 14, 1935 at Ben Wheeler, TX, in Van Zant County. He left there in 1952 moving to Borger, TX, where he was married in 1956 to Helen Smith and later divorced. In March of 1965, he married Joy Gibson who passed 1978. Between those two unions he fathered four children. In November of 1993, he married Rosetta Gee Hainer.
Charles was a crane operator/rigger for Panhandle Steel Erectors for 30 years. He retired in January 1999.
He is preceded in death by his father, Cleburne W Miller; his mother, Ollie Marie Easley; his brother, Damon Dee Miller; a son, Michael Dewayne Miller and a granddaughter, Stephanie Marie Brooks.
He departed this life on October
17, leaving to mourn his wife of the home. His children Jack Miller (Shellie) of Jacksboro, TX, Jamie Miller of Ardmore, OK and Charlene Rogers (Richard) Ardmore, OK; his step-children Jesse Hainer (Jennie) of Amarillo, TX, Charles Hainer (Debi) of Colfax, IA, Rebecca Robledo of Amarillo, TX, Renee Hainer of Tulsa, OK, Errol Hainer (Dena) of Amarillo, TX. 29 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends plus his Aunt Fannie Ray of Borger, TX. He had many close friends especially Virgil Davis, Buddy Skeie both of Amarillo, TX and Cecil Hopkins of Borger TX.
He will be missed by all. Visitation will be Friday, October 18th at Memorial Park Funeral Home form 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held at Pray Amarillo (4000 SW 50th) Amarillo, TX, Saturday, October 19, at 10 am. Burial will be Monday, October 21, in Antlers, OK.
