Dewey D. Permenter

Dewey D. Permenter was born May 23, 1936 to Otis and Velma Permenter in Snyder, Texas. Dewey met the love of his life, Mae Beason, and they were married in 1956. Together they raised their four children. His children would say that he was the best dad ever. After many years of working, he retired from Nunn Manufacturing. Being born during the Great Depression, he was always very grateful for everything he had and for all of his blessings. He loved his wife and family more than life itself. Dewey was an avid Dallas Cowboy’s fan. He enjoyed fixing anything and tinkering with everything, especially if the Cowboys were having a bad game. Enjoying time with his grandchildren and having his friends and family over to swim were some of his favorite times. Dewey will be missed by all those who were blessed to know and love him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and eight siblings.

He is survived by his four children: Donald Permenter and wife, Cindie; Anita Permenter Betancourt; Michael Permenter and wife, Julie, and Douglas Permenter all of Amarillo. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
