The family will receive guests at Griggs Schooler Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell, on Friday, November 30 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Palo Duro Ward, 5401 Bell Street, on Saturday, December 1 at 2 pm.
Ann was born to George R. McDonald and Opal Northern McDonald on October 24th 1940 in Amarillo, Texas. Ann married the love of her life, Richard Lynn Hunter, on August 15th, 1959. Ann was a loving wife, mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Ann loved to garden, fish, cook, bake, paint, sew; but most of all loved her family. Ann never knew a stranger and always had kind words for everyone. Ann graduated from Amarillo High School in 1959 and later that year married Richard Hunter. Ann was employed at the Amarillo Globe News until James Bradley was born in 1961 after which she became a full time home maker then had daughter Kimberly in 1963. Richard and Ann moved to Dallas Texas in 1972 and lived there until returning to Amarillo to care for elderly parents in 2006. Ann became a member of the LDS church in 1978 and was called to be a counselor in the Relief Society Presidency. Ann also had many other callings as well through the years.
Ann is preceded in death by parents George R. and Opal McDonald and Brother Leslie Paul. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, Richard L. Hunter, loving son James Bradley Hunter and wife Margaret-Mary Hunter of Nassau Bay Texas, daughter Kimberly Jo Rumping of Reno Nevada, sister Lynn Kuyava of Amarillo Texas , brothers Charles McDonald of Walters, OK. and Tom McDonald of Lubbock, Texas; 6 Grand-Children, Stacy Cooper of Wills Point, Texas, Rickey Carroll of Grand Rapids, OH, William Hunter of The Woodlands, Texas, Charlotte Hutcheson of Princeton, Texas, Katy Moses of League City, Texas and Cody Brown of Wills Point, Texas; 11 Great Grandchildren , Shaina Coker of Surprise, AZ, Noah Pellerano of The Woodlands, Texas, Jude Pellerano of The Wood lands, Texas, Audrey Hutcheson of Princeton, TX Harper Moses of League City, Texas, Sarah Beth Hunter of The Woodlands, Texas, Cadence Brown of Wills Point, Texas, Lillian Moses of League City, TX, Landon Hutcheson of Princeton, Texas, Abigail Hunter of The Woodlands, TX, and Hollis Moses of League City, Texas
