Karen Elizabeth (Lane) Baker-Goodson, 75, of Amarillo, Texas passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family in Amarillo on Monday, September 4, 2023. Graveside services are scheduled for 10am, Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Karon was born on February 23, 1948, in Altus, Oklahoma. She was the first of three children of Willie Lane and Nell (Onan) Lane. Karon graduated from West Texas A&M with a Bachelor's degree in education and taught elementary education in Fritch, Texas for over 20 years. After she retired, she was a parole officer for a short time. She had a love for horses and decorating her home.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt to her husband, Jerry Goodson; son Mike Baker-Miceli and spouse; son, Corey Baker and spouse; niece, Tempe Evans and spouse; five grandchildren, Ashton, Laney, Lane, Brooklyn, and Maverick; and step-daughter, Debbie Whitley.
