With deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of our son, brother, grandson, family member & friend Lincoln Spuller, who passed away suddenly on April 12th. To those who knew Lincoln, even a little, know that we lost a ray of sunshine in our lives. Lincoln was a Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) Warrior and strived in life even though he had been given little hope from the very beginning. Lincoln will be missed everyday by his Father, Steven “Ed” Spuller, his Mother, Amber Spuller, Sister Avarielle, Brother Ryker, his grandparents Laura Spuller, Steven Spuller, & William Boehm, his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Great Aunt and Great Uncles, and many, many great friends, classmates, doctors, nurses, therapist and teachers. “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart” -Helen Keller

I had the privilege of taking care of Lincoln when he spent his first year of life with us at Children’s Hospital. He was such a resilient little boy and continued every day to fight and defy the odds that many health care professionals had suggested. Amber and Ed were by his side every day and it was such an honor getting to know the Spuller family. I will never forget when Amber reached out to me to come help celebrate Linc’s 3rd birthday and, of course, I wouldn’t have missed it! His smile was contagious and he was able brighten anyone’s day. You will be greatly missed Lincoln!

Our deepest sympathy and condolences on your loss of Lincoln. We know you will miss him greatly. He was always so happy and enthusiastic when you brought him into the office. It was such a joy to see how happy and enthusiastic he could be.

Lincoln was one of the first kiddos I got to work with as I started my new career. He had such determination and strength and always a smile as he worked to reach and meet so many goals and milestones. I can reflect back on my feelings of happiness as I would leave his house thinking I had chosen the right field if I was going to be lucky enough to work with children like Lincoln. I am thankful to have known Lincoln and he along with the entire family will be in my constant thoughts and prayers.

Lincoln Spuller was truly one incredible individual, and I will never forget that special little guy. Some of my favorite things about Lincoln was that he was always smiling, always happy, and always bringing out the best in people around him. I had the absolute honor and pleasure of having him in my life and getting to have him be my ring bearer was simply amazing! My favorite picture from that day has Lincoln in it! As you can see, from the picture below, Lincoln again steals the show with his bright smile and genuine happiness! Ed, Amber, Avarielle, and Ryker, you have my deepest sympathy and you will always remain in my prayers. Love you guys!

It was truly a privilege to have know Lincoln. Whoever came in contact with him or his family, encountered a wonderful fulfilling of life and happiness. He will surely be missed, but have left an imprint on all our lives. He's taught us lessons in endurance, strength, courage, having a wonderful positive attitude through the toughest of times. Times many of us couldn't even imagine. Amber, many prayers for you and your family always!

Lincoln has been a ray of Sunshine in out lives. As an adopted Grandson he's always full of laughter and smiles. When he comes over the first thing he wants is to get a hug from Don (Papa D). When we celebrate birthdays, Christmas, or Easter he's full of energy, fun and smiles. When leaving again he needs to hug Papa D and Grandma. BOY! We're going to miss that beautiful smile and all those hugs.

Lincoln and his wonderful smile will be in our hearts and minds for ever. He will always be a role-model for our children because he showed extreme strength and courage. We feel blessed that we spent time with him and we will never forget him.

My regret is that I am the funeral director that met his family to plan his service and I never got to meet Lincoln, I am honored that they chose me, but I would have loved to have known this kind and gentle soul here on earth. Every now and then, a soul walks amongst us for a very short time because the world is not ready for such a remarkable and wonderful person. I am saddened that you are here in my home, but honored to have cared for you, may you be set free. Fly far little one fly free.

Lincoln was a PT patient that came in with his therapist to do gymnastics therapy with me. He made me smile and laugh everytime he was there. It was my honor, and such a joy, to be a witness to and part of him being a "big boy" (as he and his mom would say) each time he had to be so brave and did a new trick or hung on the bars or walked across the balance beam. Thank you for letting me have been a part of his life. I am blessed to have known, taught, and laughed with him.
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss.

Lincoln was so loving and open-hearted. He made everyone around him happier and always had a smile for everyone. I will never forget him and will always leave a chair open for him in the speech room.
