When Tito Wallee walked into my room more than 20 years ago at Putnam Hall at Eastern Michigan University he flashed those perfect teeth and that toothy grin and that handsome face of his and said, "hey man, how you doin'? I'm Tito". Tito was a ladies man but he was such a sweet soul. And you wouldn't know that if you looked at him. He was muscular, he worked out and he had a deep voice and a vice grip. I remember my hand ached a bit after he shook it the first time. I learned to grab his hand first. But if there were women around boy did he light up. But he always had a funny story. He was always pleasant. Never an unkind word about anyone. I was really really upset when I heard he had passed away because he was such a shining light to so many all those years ago. So many students that came from far away - worlds away could count on him. He knew what it was like. So he was a great resource for everyone. He just cared so much about others. Huge loss. Great guy. There's a special place for you in heaven Big Guy.

I knew this person from a very young age. I knew him as a gentle soul who liked to make others laugh. Although, I haven't seen him for decades, I have many fond memories of us growing up. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends and may Tito's soul rest in eternal peace.
