Aaron Teague

Memorial services for Mr. Aaron Teague, 83, of Anniston will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Eulaton United Methodist Church in Eulaton, AL. A reception at the church will follow the service. Mr. Teague died peacefully Friday evening, September 6, 2013 at Noland Long-Term Care in Anniston. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Louise Thompson Teague; children, Reese Teague (Renae), Karen Ferguson (Scot) and Jerry Teague (Diana), 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and his brother T.J. Teague and his wife, Ruth of Lanett, AL.

Mr. Teague was born on December 11, 1929, in Heflin, AL, the oldest son of Reese Teague and Viola Wise Teague of Trickum Valley, AL. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and while in the service, he met his wife Louise. Mr. Teague began his career with the Heflin Police Department. He later served as chief of police in Ohatchee, AL and retired as Sergeant Detective with the Anniston Police Department. He was a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Eulaton United Methodist Church. In Lieu flowers, the family request donations to be made in memory of Mr. Teague’s name to Eulaton United Methodist Church.

I'm so sorry to just find out about Aaron's passing but I don't take the Star. Aaron was instrumental in my chosing Law Enforcement as a career and I retired in 2009 with 25 yrs as a cop. I never got to tell him how much he was an influence on me. I remember him riding me up those dirt roads with lights and siren when I was about 5, (1965).
