Elbert L. Davis

Funeral services for Elbert L. Davis, 79, of Grove Hill, AL formerly of Anniston will be 1 pm Friday, January 28, 2022 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Vines officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Davis passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Ethel Davis, daughters, Michelle Phillips (Ron) and Beth Pugh, son William Anthony "Andy" Davis (Rebekah), seven grandchildren, Andrea Day, Josh Reaves (Stephanie), Madison Davis, Tanner Moreland, Tyler Moreland, Jordan Bushey and Chrislee Andrews, thirteen great-grandchildren. Mr. Davis is poreceded in death by his parents, Forney and Alice Davis, brothers, Gary Michael Davis, James Davis, sister, Ann Grammar and grandson, Mike Bushey. Pallbearers will be Josh Reaves, Austin Day, Tyler Moreland, Tanner Moreland, Jeff Walker, Tyler Davis, and Bradly Davis Mr. Davis was a native of Calhoun County and a resident of Grove Hill, AL for the past seven years. He was a member of the Old Country Church in Stockbridge, GA. He worked for BR Williams for over 20 years and retired from SAIA Trucking where he was awarded for going over 3 million miles. Mr. Davis was a former police officer in Ohatchee and Weaver, AL. He was a U.S. Marine veteran.
