Sara W. McLaughlin

Sara W. McLaughlin 77 of Apopka, FL peacefully passed away November 12, 2018 surrounded by her family. Born March 8, 1941 in LaFayette, GA, she was loved by her family and many friends. Sara had a bright, cheerful outlook on life and always would look for the positives in all she met. She was strong in her Catholic Faith and proud of her family and their accomplishments. She taught elementary school in Texas and Florida for 30 years. She and George loved to travel, especially to Italy with one major highlight being able to see Pope John Paul II during his Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica and again from the Papal apartments addressing all in the St. Peter’s Square. Sara is survived by her husband, George, and two children: Allan and Susan, five grandchildren: Tyler, Austin, Victoria, Annabelle, Jackson and her brother James (Andy) Weaver.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 16 from 6 – 8 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Apopka. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 17 at 10:00 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs. Interment will follow at Edgewood Greenwood Cemetery in Apopka, FL.
