Gloria was born on March 24th, 1963 in Harlingen, Texas. She attended Grand Prairie High School and graduated in 1981. She began attending the University of Texas at Arlington, during which time she met her lifelong best friend, Margaret Markey. Following the birth of her first son, Alex, she began working at American Airlines. In 2020, she celebrated 30 years with the company. In April of 1995, her second son, Jacob, was born and on June 24th, 1995, she was married to Joseph Midkiff. She had her third child, her daughter, Katie, three years later, and spent the rest of her life raising, loving, supporting, and celebrating her children.
Gloria had a passion for crafting. She loved to make scrapbooks and handmade cards, and even her children’s first few Halloween costumes. She loved Disney classic movies, had a fondness for Disney villains, and enjoyed her family’s many Disney vacations. She liked to travel, read, and volunteered as a Sunday school teacher. She was well known for her kind heart, sarcastic jokes, and her generous and loving nature.
Gloria is survived by her three children, Michael Alexander Rosales, Nicholas Jacob Midkiff, Victoria Katherine Midkiff, her husband Joseph Midkiff, her mother Josefa Perez, her dad Alfred Perez, her best friend Margaret Markey, her siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at Moore Funeral Home located at 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012. Her celebration of life service will be held at 2 o’clock p.m. with reception immediately following.
Moore Funeral Home will be accepting flowers; Gloria’s favorite charity was Catholic Charities of Fort Worth and memorial donations can be made at catholicharitiesfortworth.org.
