Leonard was a Veteran & P.O.W. Of World War II. As a medium tank driver he participated in the D-Day landings at Normandy Beach. He spent a majority of the war serving proudly under General Patton. After the war he would be employed by the Bureau of Engraving where he had the task of printing US dollars.
Predeceased by his wife Ruby, Leonard is survived by daughter Victoria and husband Bruce of Cromwell, CT; Brother Robert, nephew Bobby Fallin and wife Kim, nephew David Funk and wife Anne all of MD; Julia Evans of Venice Beach FL. He will also be missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He loved his garden, Azaleas and his dogs. Leonard was a great guy, and was loved by everyone.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 24, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd. Arlington VA. 22203 where funeral services will be held on Friday, May 25, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, Arlington VA.
