Ursula, an Arlington, Va., resident for more than 60 years, was born in Duluth, Minn. to the late Owen and Margaret Hunt. She graduated from Saint Scholastica College in Duluth with a bachelor of science degree and later worked at the Charles T. Miller Hospital in St. Paul, Minn. During World War II she was commissioned as a Naval officer and served in the Navy's Office of the Industrial Manager in Chicago.
For years, Ursula was an active volunteer in scouting and parent-teacher programs at St. Agnes Catholic School in Arlington. She also was active in St. Agnes Parish's Arts and Crafts Group and its Altar Society.
Ursula was predeceased by her daughter Ursula and by her husband. She is survived by six children and five grandchildren. Her children are Thomas L., Jr. of Arlington; Brian (Mk); Dorothy (Albert Hudson); Patricia (David Kelley) of Darien, Conn.; Mary (Marc Walsh) of Newport, R.I.; and Owen (Susan) of Arlington. Ursula's grandchildren are Claire and Katie Kelley; and Thomas, Mary, and Elizabeth Shean.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ursula at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Saturday, July 28, at 10:30 a.m. There will be a viewing for 45 minutes before the Mass begins. A reception will be held in the parish hall after the Mass. The burial will be in the Quantico National Cemetery on Monday, July 30, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Catholic Charities or to the charity of one's choice.
