James Macomber was one of the finest men that I ever knew. I'm so grateful and honored that he was my uncle. Some of the best memories of my childhood were spent under his roof with my dearest Aunt Lenore and my wonderful cousins, Juanita, Lavina, and Walter. Heaven is richer today than it was before Uncle James got there.

He was more than just a neighbor to me. I don't recall anyone consistently treating me with more kindness than he. He welcomed me into his home and family. When my oldest son was born, one of my first stops was to introduce him to my favorite neighbor. A true treasure of a man has left us.
